The first dollar
3 months after launching my first app, the first sale came through In-App Purchases.

3 months (and 4 apps later) after launching my first iOS app into the App Store, the first sale came through In-App Purchases. This came from WheelFlow, which happened to be the first app I launched somewhere in October 2024, and helps people to track their options trades.
I thought that Apple would require some sort of threshold before paying (as Google does), but that doesn’t seem to be the case and I received the money in my account a month or so after.

Yeah, they keep the 30%
I’ve applied and been approved to the App Store Small Business Program, so they only take a 15% rather than a 30% but that doesn’t seem to have reflected here. I haven’t checked in detail but I believe I sold the unit before my approval, so must not be retroactive. Something to look into for future sales.
While the app is pretty niche, I’m glad it sold a copy. There was also somebody reaching out via the contact form asking if would he possible to add a small improvement to one of the features of the app, which shows there’s somewhat an interest to pursue further.
My plan for the next month is to wrap up the new app I have in the works, and then circle back to Wheel Flow and make some improvements.

If you’d like to check out m other apps (let’s call them glorified MVPs for now), you can find them here: https://iamgabrielma.github.io/
