Re-shaping my indie game repo

Circling back to one of my first projects, and making it better.

I’ve recently read ShapeUp, a small book about shipping work that matters. This sort of shaped the strategy I want to follow for the next months, which is to circle back to some of the projects that I’ve launched recently, way too fast, which are not providing enough value.

One of my first projects was MoodToPlay, a indie game repository where you can find which game to play based on your mood, and if you’re a game developer yourself, you should be able to use different marketing and promotion tools to improve your game visibility, and ultimately generate more wish lists.

While I learned a lot about backend, databases, and web apps with this project, I really didn’t had much time in the monthly cycle to make it as decent I’d like it to be. Was an MVP (minimal viable product), but not an MLP (minimal lovable product).

I will be focusing the next 6 weeks on this project (well, at least the limited available time I have after work, that hasn’t changed 😅), let see how it goes.

It does currently have 10 subscribed users, and I plan to do some daily reaching through the next weeks, so I hope to iterate mostly on real feedback only.

If you happen to have a game on Steam, check MoodToPlay up!

Until next one!
